4minute’s HyunA Recovers and Joins Members for “M! Countdown” Stage

4minute fans, rejoice!

HyunA will join the rest of 4minute on stage and will make her official return through Mnet’s “M!Countdown.”

An official from Cube Entertainment revealed to StarNews, “Went to the hospital for the last time yesterday and received a diagnosis that it’s okay for [HyunA] to perform now. It’s great news that she’s better, but we’re going to keep her health in mind and delegate schedules more towards the other members.”

Earlier last week on May 6, HyunA suddenly fainted and was admitted into a hospital in Seoul because she suffered from high fever and dehydration.

Meanwhile, 4minute is currently promoting title track “What’s Your Name” from the group’s fourth mini-album “Name is 4minute.” Fans will be able to see  all five members performing today, May 16, on “M!Countdown.

2PM’s Taecyeon Explains the Photos Taken with Jessica in Japan

Recently, 2PM’s Taecyeon explained the past scandal that involved Girls’ Generation’s Jessica. In 2011, Jessica and Taecyeon were spotted together in Tokyo, which started a dating rumor.

On the recent episode of MBC’s “Radio Star,” which was aired on May 15, Taecyeon stated, “I was in Japan for work and was exercising. When I heard that Jessica was also in Japan, I thought we should meet for coffee.”

Taecyeon explained, “We are friends, so I thought we should get together for a cup of coffee and someone took pictures of us together.”

To this, Wooyoung joked, “When I saw those photos, I couldn’t understand why he didn’t wear something cooler. It was such a strange outfit.” Junho also agreed, “I thought, ‘What the heck.’”

“Radio Star” MCs Tease: “Jun.K Is Better off in YG”

While appearing on “Radio Star,” 2PM‘s Jun.K praised YG Entertainment, which caused the MCs to playfully tease him about his “dark desires.”

On May 14, “Radio Star” aired a special 2PM comeback episode with the entire group appearing as guests where they shared various stories and discussions.

During the episode, the MCs asked Jun.K, “YG lets G-Dragon to make his own written and composed songs be the title track but why haven’t your songs been chosen as the title track?” For 2PM’s third album, “Grown,” Jun.K’s self-composed songs have been included by they are not the title track.

Then Junho said, “In YG, the company supports their artists songs a lot” and Jun.K added, “In YG, CEO Yang doesn’t write songs but for us, Park Jin Young hyung writes songs so it’s a bit hard [for my songs to be the title track].”

The MCs didn’t miss this opportunity to tease, “Then for Jun.K, YG’s system would be better, right?” This made Jun.K flustered and the other members couldn’t answer and just laughed.

On top of that, Kyuhyun added, “Jun.K calls Yang Hyun Suk, ‘CEO Yang,’ so I guess that means you want to have him as your CEO later on,” which made everyone explode with laughter.

T-ara N4 Holds Meeting with Beyonce’s Producer Team 1500 or NOTHIN

Awesome news for T-ara N4! It looks as though they received a love call from the producer team “1500 or NOTHIN.” “1500 or NOTHIN” produced music for Beyonce, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, and Wiz Khalifa. After the 1500 or NOTHIN saw the hip hop star Ray J tweet about T-ara N4, they gave them a love call.

According to Core Contents Media, 1500 or NOTHIN told T-ara N4, “We want to meet you all. Do you think you can visit the studio where we make music?” That is why, T-ara N4 left for LA and held a meeting on May 15. According to Core Contents Media, T-ara N4 is receiving a lot of love calls from U.S. music representatives and musicians. Currently they are determining the time that they will be arriving in Korea due to their busy schedule. 

Secret Releases Dance Lesson for “YooHoo”

On May 15, Secret released a video showing how to do the choreography for “YooHoo.” Secret explained each of the “point dances.” They explained the “What Should I Do Dance,” “Jjangu Dance,” and “Hip-Up Dance.”

Secret came back with their fourth mini album “Letter From Secret” on April 30. “YooHoo” was their title song. “YooHoo” is an exciting synth pop dance track with cute lyrics about falling in love. [Teaser] 100% Proves Why Their Chocolate Abs Are Deliciously Perfect

Consisting of seven members, boy group 100% sheds off the innocent image for something more naughty.

On May 15, the group’s official homepage was updated with several teaser images revealing that the boys have graduated the youthful boy image for this comeback.

The group made its debut in September 2012 with “Bad Boy” and came back to the music scene in December as crooners with “Guy Like Me.” Taking advantage of their manly appeal, 100% is causing the public to anticipate what they have in store.

Their agency states, “100%’s concept this time around is intense and sexy men. You’ll be surprised when you witness their homme fatal charms through their music and dance. Their choreography and performance will be the best from what idol groups can offer.”

EXO-K and EXO-M Join Together to Make a Comeback

Great news! The long-awaited comeback for EXO is happening and this time, instead of as separate units, the boys ofEXO-K and EXO-M are coming together as one group. 

SM Entertainment made this announcement with two teaser posters that look like they came off an yearbook. All twelve members are dressed in school uniforms, and while in one poster they all look like good, well-behaved students, the second poster shows them looking like mischievous trouble-makers.

EXO will be releasing their first album titled, “XOXO (Kiss&Hug),” and will start releasing more teaser images tomorrow. Stay tuned to Soompi for more updates!

Girl’s Generation Yuri Forms Love Triangle with Lee Jong Suk and Seo In Gook

Girl’s Generation member Yuri has been confirmed to star in a movie, alongside Lee Jong Suk and Seo In Gook. The film is called “No Breathing” and will be about a “swimming genius” who distances himself from swimming, played by Seo In Guk, and a rising star swimmer, played by Lee Jong Suk. Yuri will play the role of “Jung Eun,” who dreams of becoming a musician. She is described as someone who has a free and easy personality, innocent-looking face, and an emotional singing voice. She is childhood friends with Lee Jong Suk and Seo In Gook’s characters, forming a love triangle with them.

“No Breathing” is written by Yoo Young Ah, who also wrote the heart-warming movie hit, “Miracle in Cell No.7.”

Yuri commented on her casting, “I liked the character while reading the ‘No Breathing’ scenario. I will work hard to make a good movie.” 

Filming starts May 19 and “No Breathing” is expected to premier in the latter half of this year.

Here Comes the ’91 Line! – Jinwoon and Go Jun Hee Couple

If you don’t like at least one person from the famous ’91 Line then you probably don’t like K-Pop (no judgement). The ’91 Line is a group of idols who were all born in 1991 and are friends with each other. Members include SHINee‘s Key,2AM‘s Jinwoon, Kara‘s Nicole, and MBLAQ‘s Mir. There are others from other idol groups but they don’t make an appearance in this episode.

The kids of ’91 Line know how to have a good time and Go Jun Hee called the right people to help with her surprise Birthday party for her husband. Even though the actress towers over the idols, she became very chummy with them. She exchanged very obvious flattery with Mir, found a bouncing buddy in Nicole, and Key, oh key. Key, Key, Kibum, Key. He comes in with his ginormous shoes and becomes the marriage-slash-Jinwoon expert. Mommy Key came out for a little bit (“This is a little weird because Taemin is also a WGM couple…”) but then he went right back to being his fabulous self.

Work it, girlfriend.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung Changes Her Style for “Cyrano”

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung, whom fans are used to seeing in trendy and ornate outfits on stage, has changed her style for her role in the upcoming drama “Dating Agency: Cyrano.”

On May 12, producers of the drama released pictures of Sooyoung in her role as Gong Min Young, who is described as a bright romanticist. The pictures show Sooyoung looking like a normal office worker instead of the charismatic and sexy image Sooyoung has onstage.

According to the producers, Sooyoung is showing a lot of affection for her role and is paying careful attention to every single detail from acting to styling for her character. Producer Kim Hee Jun said, “It is not just the outfits only but she also seems to have completely become the character in her acting. I think viewers will be able to see her upgraded acting in this drama.”

“Dating Agency: Cyrano” is a drama centered on a dating agency that helps people awkward in love. It is slated to be a 16-episode drama and will premier May 27 on tvN.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun to Replace SHINee’s Minho in “Mamma Mia”

SHINee‘s Minho, who has been one of the MCs for the KBS variety show “Mamma Mia” since April, will be leaving his position in order to focus on his group concert tour in Japan and other countries. 

Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun, who is also currently an MC for MBC’s “Radio Star,” will be replacing Minho. Minho’s last episode will be shown on May 12 and Kyuhyun will make his first appearance on May 19.

Netizens who heard this news commented, “I’m sad to hear about Minho’s withdrawal,” “You’ve worked hard, Minho,” and “Minho, fighting!”

Lee Seung Gi Travels Through Time and Brings Pizza to “Gu Family Book” Staff

Lee Seung Gi, who is currently playing the lead role of the half-beast, half-human Choi Kang Chi, bought pizza for the 150 member staff and fellow actors of “Gu Family Book.”

The generous actor bought the meal on May 11 to encourage the staff and actors suffering from overnight filming and early summer heat. Notably in the pictures released, the actors are still dressed in their drama outfits sitting in the forest and eating pizza.  The hanboks and pizza make for a strange contrast.

Lee Seung Gi stated, “I am happy that the drama seems to be receiving as much love as the effort the staff and actors are putting into it. I was more encouraged seeing the staff eat the pizze that I prepared for them with a grateful heart.”

“Gu Family Book” airs Mondays and Tuesdays on MBC. 

SHINee Dances Sherlock with Lucky Fans on “Dream Team”

On the May 12 episode, KBS’ “Let’s Go Dream Team Season 2” and SHINee visited the Dong Sun Jung Bo High school to compete with the school’s female soccer team. Before the main competition, a group of fans performed SHINee’s “Sherlock” in front of Minho, Taemin, Onew, and Key. They performed with all their hearts, hoping to impress their oppas.

In the middle of the song, the SHINee members got up and joined the female students, making them some of the luckiest Shawols out there. Each member performed their parts with the students and even posed affectionately together for the camera. Viewers could hear the jealous and happy screams of other fans at the school watching the performance in the background audio of the show.

Teen Top’s Ricky Would Like To Go to School If He Had a Break

Idol group Teen Top, who just held their first solo concert, “2013 Teen Top No.1 Asia Tour,” in Seoul on May 12 discussed what they would like to do if they were given a break after the concert tour.

C.A.P showed his affection for sports saying, “I want to learn sports. I want to play sports and do other cultural activities.”

Niel responded, “I like to travel so I want to travel to another country this time.” Chunji added, “I like to travel too so I want to go to another country and experience the different culture.”

L.Joe and Changjo said that they would like to work on music if they were given a break after the tour. L.Joe said, “I want to earnestly focus on composing music. I won’t be coming out of my room for a while.” Changjo stated, “I want to work on music with my friend and also produce a dance video.

Lastly, Ricky stated a small but heartfelt wish, saying,  ”Since I am still a student, I want to go to school. I want to spend time with a lot of friends at school.”

After the Seoul leg of their tour, Teen Top will be performing in Japan- May 18 in Kobe and May 21-22 in Tokyo.

In the picture is Taeyeon gazing at the camera with a caring expression on her face. With her flawless skin, Taeyeon looks adorable in this photo. In this selca, fans can also spot the amusing appearances of Tiffany’s legs and YoonA’s eyes.

SHINee’s Onew Shows Gentlemanly Manner

On the May 12 episode of KBS’ “Let’s Go Dream Team Season 2″  the four members of SHINee, comedian Noh Woo Jin, and Secret’s Sunhwa appeared to compete against a high school female soccer team.

One of the game involved Onew doing a penalty kick while carrying a female soccer player on his back. As the student was wearing a pair of shorts, Onew showed thoughtfulness as he tried to keep his hands in fists to avoid touching her bare legs.

Onew also beautifully sang a song, impressing all the female players.

Meanwhile, SHINee’s Jonghyun could not appear on this show due to recent injury. In his place was comedian Noh Woo Jin, who used to be a soccer player in high school.

Lee Hong Ki and Fuji Mina Look Happy in Their Wedding Pictorial

During the filming of the upcoming episode for MBC Every1’s “We Got Married – Global Edition,” which will be aired on May 5, couple Lee Hong Ki and Fuji Mina did a wedding photoshoot.

When Lee Hong Ki saw his bride in a wedding dress for the first time, he could not hide his delight as he stated, “She always looks pretty, and so I knew she would look beautiful in a wedding dress. She reminds me of Athena the goddess.” Throughout the photoshoot, Lee Hong Ki repeatedly complimented Fuji Mina.

After the photoshoot, Fuji Mina revealed her thoughts as she stated, “It was my first time wearing a wedding dress so I was nervous, but Hong Ki told me I was pretty and so I was happy. It was fun.”

2PM Reveals Trailer for Comeback Show “2PM Returns”

A trailer for 2PM‘s special comeback show “2PM Returns” was just revealed online today.

Starting off with a parody of “Superman Returns,” we see the members wearing suits as impressive pyrotechnics light up the background,
