SHINee’s Jonghyun’s Self-Written “Selene 6.23″ Tops Music Charts

SHINee’s Jonghyun’s Self-Written “Selene 6.23″ Tops Music Charts
SHINee‘s newly released track “Selene 6.23” has been sweeping various music charts.
On August 8, SHINee’s combined official third album “The Misconceptions of Us” was released. As soon as the title track “Selene 6.23″ was revealed, it reached the number one spot on Olleh Music, Mnet, Bugs and Naver Music.
“Selene 6.23″ is an emotional ballad that showcases the SHINee members’ exceptional vocal skills. The sad lyrics are about a person who is in love but not being able to reach her. It is written by SHINee member Jonghyun.
Another new track, “Better Off” is included in the album. It is a mid-tempo pop ballad that beautifully expresses the sadness of a break-up.
Upon the release of the album, Jonghyun tweeted, “Yahoo! SHINee’s new songs in ‘The Misconceptions of Us’ have been released. It’s the combination of the ‘me’ and ‘you’ albums and there are two new songs, ‘Selene 6.23′ and ‘Better Off.’”
He continued to upload a funny photoshopped photo and tweeted, “After looking at the album cover, I feel the art soul?!” The photo contains a scene from the animation “Attack On Titan” with the giant’s face photoshopped into the face that is on SHINee’s album cover.

(TAEMIN and NAEUN) The two decide to watch “Twilight” to be inspired for their photo shoot

[Recap] Love Makes Us Look Picture Perfect – We Got Married 070613

The two decide to watch “Twilight” to be inspired for their photo shoot. They get all giggly and shy when the kiss scene comes on, but that only makes it more fun because Taemin starts to act a little more natural. Like when he gulps in the teenage-boy-with-raging-hormones kind of way during the kiss scene. The most natural and spontaneous act he does during the whole episode is when he tries to show off to Na Eun and ends up kicking a ball to his face. I went back and watched that scene three times because it was just so perfect and so Taemin. Taemin recovers, and after they try to see how close they can get face to face (result: not very close), Taemin reveals his method of giving Na Eun his number. While the gesture is sweet, it puts the responsibility of exchanging numbers in Na Eun’s hands, and even Taemin doesn’t think she’s going to text him anytime soon.

Taemin and Son Na Eun - WE GOT MARRIED

[Recap] Love Makes Us Look Picture Perfect – We Got Married 070613

Taemin and Son Na Eun (and Key‘s puppy?) are on their favorite spot: on the couch. The two have fun with helium balloons, but it was all part of Taemin’s plan to get Na Eun to reveal her feelings for him. Then Taemin not so slyly brings up movies and not so subtly asks Na Eun if she ever went to the movies with a guy. I love this couple but the whole “push and pull” game is getting more and more obvious and less and less fun to watch. How many more times will we watch Taemin drill Na Eun about her personal life, get into a fake jealous rage, try to make Na Eun jealous, and then grin as he brings up his mother as the punchline. There’s a system, and the system is only fun when it’s not obvious.

SHINee’s Minho And Onew Use “Manner Legs”

SHINee’s Minho And Onew Use “Manner Legs”
A photo of Onew and Minho using “manner legs” has recently been a topic of interest online.
On May 31, SHINee‘s Onew, Key and Minho made guest appearance on Tooniverse‘s “Nangam School.” During the recording of the show, Onew and Minho bent their knees or spread their legs apart to accommodate the height of the younger cast members. In the photo, the boys are caught receiving a bonk on the head for losing a game.
The two members were praised by viewers for their consideration for the younger kids on the show and were added to the growing list of male celebrities who have lately shown “manner legs.” According to photos circulating the web, any male celebrity who accommodates a female celebrity or staff member height-wise is considered to have “manner legs.”

[Recap] The Things We Do for Love – We Got Married 05.11.13

[Recap] The Things We Do for Love – We Got Married 05.11.13
If you missed it, here is last week’s WGM recap: The Hot, the Sweet, and the Confused
On this week’s episode of “We Got Married” Go Jun Hee invites the energetic ’91 Line to throw Jinwoon a birthday party, Taemin and So Na Eun reminisce about their middle school days, and Jo Jung Chi makes Jung In (and everyone else) cry!
The Things We Do for Love – This is your weekly Soompi WGM recap.
Here Comes the ’91 Line! – Jinwoon and Go Jun Hee Couple
If you don’t like at least one person from the famous ’91 Line then you probably don’t like K-Pop (no judgement). The ’91 Line is a group of idols who were all born in 1991 and are friends with each other. Members include SHINee‘s Key,2AM‘s Jinwoon, Kara‘s Nicole, and MBLAQ‘s Mir. There are others from other idol groups but they don’t make an appearance in this episode.
The kids of ’91 Line know how to have a good time and Go Jun Hee called the right people to help with her surprise Birthday party for her husband. Even though the actress towers over the idols, she became very chummy with them. She exchanged very obvious flattery with Mir, found a bouncing buddy in Nicole, and Key, oh key. Key, Key, Kibum, Key. He comes in with his ginormous shoes and becomes the marriage-slash-Jinwoon expert. Mommy Key came out for a little bit (“This is a little weird because Taemin is also a WGM couple…”) but then he went right back to being his fabulous self.

Work it, girlfriend.
Next…Taemin and Son Na Eun discover more evidence that the two were destined for each other.

SHINee Dances Sherlock with Lucky Fans on “Dream Team”
On the May 12 episode, KBS’ “Let’s Go Dream Team Season 2” and SHINee visited the Dong Sun Jung Bo High school to compete with the school’s female soccer team. Before the main competition, a group of fans performed SHINee’s “Sherlock” in front of Minho, Taemin, Onew, and Key. They performed with all their hearts, hoping to impress their oppas.
In the middle of the song, the SHINee members got up and joined the female students, making them some of the luckiest Shawols out there. Each member performed their parts with the students and even posed affectionately together for the camera. Viewers could hear the jealous and happy screams of other fans at the school watching the performance in the background audio of the show.
You can click on the little blue arrow on the top right of the screencaps to watch a brief clip of the performance.

SHINee’s Onew Shows Gentlemanly Manner

SHINee’s Onew Shows Gentlemanly Manner
On the May 12 episode of KBS’ “Let’s Go Dream Team Season 2″  the four members of SHINee, comedian Noh Woo Jin, and Secret’s Sunhwa appeared to compete against a high school female soccer team.
One of the game involved Onew doing a penalty kick while carrying a female soccer player on his back. As the student was wearing a pair of shorts, Onew showed thoughtfulness as he tried to keep his hands in fists to avoid touching her bare legs.
Onew also beautifully sang a song, impressing all the female players.
Meanwhile, SHINee’s Jonghyun could not appear on this show due to recent injury. In his place was comedian Noh Woo Jin, who used to be a soccer player in high school.

The choreographer hyungs would make us do push-ups to warm up and told us, ‘You guys need to do this if you’re gonna do this dance.’ We probably did about 100 push-ups per day.”
Lastly, when asked what the biggest change since their debut five years ago is, Minho answered, “The stage became more comfortable to us and now we are experienced. When we watch clips of us during our debut period, we know it’s us but we were so cute.” Key answered, “For me, I can’t really watch those clips. Because when I do, that old feeling of ‘I can’t make a mistake. I need to do well no matter what’ creeps back up again.”
