Woollim Entertainment Merges with SM Entertainment’s SM C&C To Form “Woollim Label”

SM C&C and Woollim Entertainment, the latter home to Infinite, Nell, and Tasty, will be merging to form a new label-”Woollim Label.”

SM C&C is a subsidary of SM Entertainment, and by merging with Woollim Ent., will be forming the independent label “Woollim Label.”

SM Entertainment will be in charge of the global distribution of the music and other businesses of artists’ under “Woollim Label,” while SM C&C will be in charge of the label’s functions.

With this move, SM Entertainment is on its way to become a major global music company in the likes of Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music Entertainment.

Infinite Shows Manly Charisma in Individual “Destiny” Concept Photos

Infinite, who is looking toward a July 16 comeback, has released individual concept photos for their new album, “Destiny.” The photos were uploaded onto Infinite’s official homepage, showing off the members’ manly charisma, a change in image from their previous “Man in Love” concept. 

Infinite’s agency, Woolim Entertainment, stated, “The title song ‘Destiny’ is most like Infinite, yet fans will be able to experience a new charm of the group. The music video will also have spectacular visuals that have never been seen before and a high quality.

Inspirits Shut Down Servers in Mad Rush for Infinite’s Concert Tickets

Infinite‘s kick-off concert in Seoul to their first world tour “One Great Step” has been recorded as a sell-out show.

Concert tickets started to go on sale from June 18 at 8 PM and hopeful fans did not hesitate for a moment to purchase them, which caused in a massive server crash. The servers were down for almost an hour and even after the site was back up, tickets were sold out within just minutes.

In addition, as soon as tickets were on sale, Infinite became the #1 searched term on many portal sites, beating the search keyword “Korea vs Iran,” referring to the World Cup qualifier game on that day.

Infinite threw their first concert last year called “Second Invasion,” which was also a sold-out show. They threw an upgraded version of that concert called “Second Invasion Evolution” as well as a concert called “That Summer” to meet their fans.

Woollim Entertainment stated, “We are thankful that so many people showed interest in Infinite’s kick-off Seoul concert for their world tour,” and “We take it that fans are that much anticipating the show so we feel a bit of pressure but we will be showing a whole new show with Infinite’s performance skills and real live singing.”

Infinite’s Seoul kick-off concert will be held on July 8 to July 10 at the Seoul Olympic Park stadium. The tour will continue until the end of the year and the group will visit Japan, China and other Asian countries as well as the USA, South America and Europe.

Performances From “2013 Dream Concert”

The “2013 Dream Concert” was held on May 11, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, and was the 19th annual “Dream Concert. The event was finally broadcasted last night on Korean television.

As one of the largest annual K-Pop event in Seoul, a total of 22 teams were at the event, including Girls’ Generation,SHINee, BEAST, SISTAR, 4Minute, T-Ara N4, Speed, EVOL, VIXX, ZE:A, Kara, Infinite, Secret, 2AM, ZE:A & Girl’s Day, UBeat, BTOB, Boyfriend, Girl’s Day, Huh Gak, B1A4 and Rainbow. 

Special Stages included ZE:A & Girl’s Day performing “Sea” and  Hyorin (SISTAR) & Changmin (2AM)  performing “When I First Saw You.”

Kara’s Goo Hara, SHINee’s Onew, and BEAST’s Yoon Doo Joon were the hosts of the concert this year.

Infinite L’s Photo Essay “L’s Bravo Viewtiful” Goes on Bestseller List

Wow congratulations to Infinite’s L! L’s photo essay “L’s Bravo Viewtiful” became a bestseller the moment it was published on May 15. A representative of Woollim Entertainment stated, “Most publications done by idol singers has been about their flashy lifestyles, photoshoots, or stories about their success. Korea’s top female duo, Davichi finally releases their second full-length album, “Mystic Ballad Part 2”after five years since their last. Over the years, the duo has garnered fans with hit songs along the likes of “8282,” Stop Time,” and “Don’t Say Goodbye.” This time around, the title track is “Having a Cup of Tea Between Them,” an acoustic ballad that is expected to interest women in their 20s and 30s. Ballad queen, Baek Ji Young has come before fans with, “Flash Back, “a collection of her best drama soundtrack hits. Infinite Releases MV for “Man In Love”

After releasing individual member teasers this past week, Infinite has finally released their comeback music video for their fourth single “Man In Love.”

For this comeback, Infinite goes back to a more upbeat sound with a cute look. In the music video, each of the members are seen preparing to meet up with a girl.

Despite focusing on their individual scenes in the music video, we also see that they have once again prepared their impressive choreography. We can likely expect a dance version music video to be eventually released.  

It has been 10 months since the group released their third mini album “Infinitize” and promoted their track title “The Chaser.” Earlier this year, Sungkyu had his solo debut while Hoya and Dongwoo performed as Infinite H.  

2PM’s Taecyeon and Infinite’s Sungkyu Get Chummy in Jakarta

On March 20, 2PM’s Taecyeon uploaded on his twitter a photo along with the message, “Music Bank Jakarta is the best.”

In the picture, Taecyeon and Infinite’s Sungkyu are together. Taecyeon has a thumbs-up pose, while Sungkyu shows off a victory sign. With smiles on their faces, Taecyeon and Sungkyu look handsome in this photo.

Meanwhile, both 2PM and Infinite performed at KBS’s recent concert “Music Bank in Jakarta Indonesia,” which took place earlier this month, but was aired recently on March 19.  Other groups also performed during this show, including Teen Top, SISTAR, SHINee, BEAST, and Super Junior. In addition, special performances of K-Drama OST songs were made for the Indonesian fans, including Soyu’s “I Think I” from “Full House,” SHINee’s “Stand By Me” from “Boys Over Flowers,” andWoohyun’s “Dreaming” from “Dream High.”

Infinite’s Sungkyu Is the Newest “Variety-Dol,” Talks About Past Misunderstnading with HyunA

Infinite‘s Sungkyu recently spoke about his honest feelings toward 4minute‘sHyunA, which earned him the status of the newest top “variety-dol.”

On February 27, Sungkyu appeared as a guest on MBC’s “Radio Star” and said, “In the past, I showed interest to HyunA at this one TV show but it was taken out of context.”

So the emcees gave him a chance to clear himself up and Sungkyu began to leave a message for HyunA right away.

Sungkyu said, “As I fan, I lov- no no, as a fan, I am a huge fan,” stumbling all over the place, which made everyone laugh.

He continued, “I didn’t act that way with bad intentions,” and “It seemed like HyunA was viewing me as a sasaeng fan. I was really upset because it seemed like I said that on purpose on air.”

MC Kyuhyun asked, “If HyunA asks to meet you for real, what will you do?” Then Sungkyu answered again in a bumbling way, “I will take care of the matters on my own for my own future and for the fans, I will do a good job… in secret… well…”

Throughout the whole episode, Sungkyu has shown his honest but random and weird answers and stories, which charmed and captivated the viewers.

Infinite’s Sung Kyu Reveals First Teaser Image for Solo Debut

On November 2, Infinite’s official home page revealed the first teaser image of Sung Kyu’s solo debut, making his solo release official.

The webpage first released a statement that read, “Solo Invasion,” before revealing the artistic teaser image. The teaser photo, comprised of graphic images that look almost too abstract, contains a message that reads, “Kim Sung Kyu Another Me.”

Sung Kyu is the leader of Infinite that rose to fame through his outstanding live performances on KBS “Immortal Song 2.” Today’s news is particularly interesting since Dongwoo andHoya just recently announced their unit group debut of Infinite-H.

Meanwhile, Infinite is currently on their Japanese Arena Tour which started in Yokohama on November 27 and 28.
